Meet The Larô Team
Our all-Filipino team combines professional expertise with our own lived experience as immigrants, bringing the cultural insight that's often missing from Western mental health approaches.
We believe relatability creates accessibility—when mental health care feels familiar and connected to your community, it becomes truly possible.

Meet Kim Salvador
Hi, I’m Kim, a Registered Psychotherapist with over eight years of experience supporting people through life’s messier and more meaningful moments. I started my journey as a psychologist in the Philippines and later found my way into mindfulness work and psychotherapy here in Ontario.
I work mostly with Filipino immigrants and children of immigrants who are trying to make sense of anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, and all the in-between stuff that comes with transitions, grief, and cultural disconnection. I also support folks navigating perfectionism, burnout (especially in healthcare), and chronic pain.
My approach is gentle, grounded, and deeply relational. I listen for what’s said and unsaid, meet you where you are, and hold space with authenticity, pakikiramdam, and sometimes a bit of humour — because laughter can be healing too.
I don't see myself as someone with all the answers, but as a fellow human learning and growing alongside my clients. Beyond reducing symptoms, I view therapy as supporting people in reconnecting with themselves and creating a life that feels aligned and authentic—whatever that looks like for them.

Meet Yra Marie Calamiong-Otchengco
Hi, I’m Yra, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with roots in the Philippines. I support adults moving through anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, and struggles with self-worth. Many of my clients are students, professionals, newcomers, or shift workers who feel stretched thin and overwhelmed. Together, we create space to slow down, untangle what feels heavy, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and your world.
My path to therapy began with community work, where I saw how much early experiences shape who we become. As an immigrant and trauma survivor, I also know the weight of carrying unspoken struggles and the relief of finally being understood. These experiences shaped my belief that healing doesn’t just change us as individuals, it ripples outward into families and communities.
Clients describe me as warm, reflective, and grounding. I especially enjoy working with Filipino and Asian clients, where cultural resonance makes the process feel more natural. Beyond therapy, I’m a lifelong learner who finds joy in books, exploring new places (yes, cafés count), and spending time in nature. I’m also deeply rooted in my roles as a wife, sister, and daughter, which serve as reminders of the connection and care that shape my work.

Meet Elda Almario
I’m Elda—a first-generation Filipino immigrant, psychotherapist, and big sister to an Autistic brother. I work with children, youth, adults, and families who are exploring identity, navigating transitions, or unpacking complex lived experiences like immigration, diagnosis, or generational trauma. Whether you’re feeling out of place, misunderstood, or just tired of masking or code-switching, I offer a space to make sense of it all—gently, collaboratively, and without shame.
My approach is grounded in cultural responsiveness, neurodiversity-affirming care, anti-oppressive values, and malasakit—genuine care. I draw from my lived experiences, training, and a whole lot of listening—to co-create a space where you’re not expected to perform or prove your worth. We move at a pace that feels right and focus on what you’re ready to explore.
I’m also a clinical supervisor and speaker, supporting racialized therapists and the wider community. Whether I’m mentoring others to decolonize their practices or speaking about mental health in our kababayan circles, my work is always about making care more accessible, human, and connected.
