About Larô Therapy
Your relationship with your culture is personal, complex, and completely valid—whatever it looks like.
Mission:
Larô Therapy is a Filipino-led group practice that offers mental health care rooted in culture, care, and connection.
We believe healing happens best when you feel understood, and we show up with malasakit in everything we do.
Vision:
A future where healing and mental health care are rooted in our community’s culture, identities, and lived experiences.
Core Values
Play
Play is a crucial piece in one’s development and wellness. We believe it isn’t only a goal to move towards but a means of reclaiming one’s power and overall well-being.
Integrity
We commit to act ethically, competently, and transparently in our practice. We engage in ongoing learning to provide the best care possible to the communities that we serve.
Malasakit/Genuine Concern
With a genuine concern for our community, our goal is to take part in facilitating collective healing and inspiring conversations on mental health within the Filipino and Autistic community.
Identity-affirming
We embrace differences and respect people’s autonomy. We actively challenge and work towards healing our internalized prejudice, -normativity, -isms, and -phobias.
Collective Liberation
We work on decolonizing and destigmatizing mental health care by centering the voices of marginalized communities. We promote collective care and continually improve accessibility.

Larô Therapy is a thriving virtual psychotherapy practice established in 2020, dedicated to providing identity-affirming psychotherapy to the Filipino diaspora. Our commitment is twofold: ensuring excellent client care and fostering clinician wellness. We believe that when our therapists are well-supported, they can provide the best care to their clients.
As leaders in Filipino Canadian mental health, we actively work to destigmatize mental health within our community. Our mission goes beyond therapy—we are fostering a cultural shift from shame and isolation to connection and care, making mental health support accessible.
