For the Autistic Community in Ontario, Canada

Every Autistic person has a unique journey. Raising them will have ups and downs and many in-betweens.

Does this sound familiar?

You’re an adult who…

Is curious about what being Autistic means to you.

Is dealing with sensory overwhelm and unsure if you can advocate for yourself.

Thinks less of yourself for not doing things the same way as everyone else.

You have a child or youth who…

Struggles with feeling overwhelmed by their environment.

Thinks less of themselves for not fitting in.

Finds it difficult to express themselves and make meaningful connections.

As an Autistic person, your experiences and how you navigate the world are important. You may have spent time masking, been mislabeled, and struggled to feel understood by those around you. Constantly anticipating and rehearsing for changes or conversations can be exhausting. It's no wonder that Autistic burnout, with its emotional, mental, and physical toll, is a common experience. It’s hard to embrace who you truly are and harder to see that it can get easier.

You don’t have to go through it all alone. We welcome you to show up as you are. Together, we’ll learn more about the challenges you’re facing and develop supportive strategies tailored to you. We believe in the power of connection, your autonomy, and advocacy on your terms, not dictated by anyone else.

Autistic Community

As parents or caregivers, it can be challenging to navigate situations that aren't affirming or inclusive. It's natural to feel overwhelmed and lonely when facing these challenges without support. Understanding and accepting our child's condition can bring a range of emotions, from grief to relief and celebration. Meanwhile, you want to make sure that you’re doing your best to set your child up for success.

They don’t need ‘fixing’ because they’re not broken.

At Larô Therapy, we offer identity-affirming support to Autistic children, youth, and adults as they navigate their experiences, cope with challenges, and embrace their identities. We aim to help you understand yourself better and develop skills for self-advocacy.

Stimming and talking about special interests are welcome! We encourage you to co-create this shared space with us so you can feel safe to unmask, openly express yourself, and process your experiences.

Meet the Therapist

Hi, I’m Elda, a Psychotherapist who specializes in working with the Autistic Community.

How it Works

Step 1

When you're ready, you can schedule either an Intake Session or a Mutual Fit Call, and we can explore whether working together would be a suitable fit.

Step 2

If we agree to work together, we can set aside a particular time slot once or twice every week that would be exclusive for you.

Step 3

We’ll have regular 50-minute sessions at the time we both agreed upon and monitor your progress continuously.
